TEXT: I KINGS 19: 1-8

1 Kings 19:1 Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword.

The new job, the new baby, the new promotion is not an end in itself. If it is of God – the devil will attempt to attack it by discouraging you.

  1. Every stranger that want to discourage me because I am making progress – arrest them.
    2. For everything in my life that glorifies your name- encourage me to do more!
    3. I, ( insert name) will not be stranded! I will not be stagnant!
    4. Every ear that hears of my exploits, stir their hearts to encourage and support me to do more!
    5. As the Lord lives, I will not be discussed in the past tense!
    6. Every discouragement that is attempting to kill my achievements, lose your hold in Jesus name!

1Ki 19:2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So may the gods do to me and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by this time tomorrow.”
1Ki 19:3 Then he was afraid

  1. Every threat that is released because you are succeeding will fail! It will not prosper in Jesus name!

2Ti 1:7 God’s Spirit doesn’t make cowards out of us. The Spirit gives us power, love, and self-control.

  1. Father, encourage me with love! Saturate me with love!
    8. In every area of my life that I have been abandoned – send me love to encourage me!
    9. My Father in Heaven is not a coward, I reject the spirit of Cowardice.
    10. Let the laws of life around me rise up to encourage me with Power.
    11. In the midst of fear, scaremongering and intimidation – GIVE ME POWER AND SELF CONTROL to do that which is right!
    12. I reject all forms of intimidation! I refuse to bow to failure and waste!

1Ki 19:3 Then he was afraid, and he arose and ran for his life and came to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.

Pro 28:1 The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.

  1. Release power to stand boldly and fight
    14. I have run enough! From now I receive power to stand my ground!
    15. Encourage me with rest and give me rest
    16. The event that will happen in my life that will stabilize me – encourage me with it this month!

Jos 7:11 Israel has sinned! They have broken the agreement with me that I ordered them to keep. They have taken some of the things condemned to destruction. They stole them, lied about it, and put them with their own things.
Jos 7:12 This is why the Israelites cannot stand against their enemies. They retreat from them because they themselves have now been condemned to destruction! I will not stay with you any longer unless you destroy the things you were ordered not to take!

  1. Father, Let me not become an agent of discouragement!
    18. Every disobedience and sin that has destroyed my strength – have mercy on me

1Ki 19:4 then walked another whole day into the desert. Finally, he came to a large bush and sat down in its shade. He begged the LORD, “I’ve had enough. Just let me die! I’m no better off than my ancestors.”

  1. Every event that will lead me to give up – Encourage me and reverse it.
    20. In every area of my life that I am tired – physical, emotional and spiritual – encourage me!

Job 22:29 When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.

  1. I decree and announce concerning you ( insert name) – you are lifted!

1Sa 17:29 And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?
1Sa 17:30 And he turned from him toward another, and spake after the same manner: and the people answered him again after the former manner.

  1. Everyone that is being used to kill my dreams, encourage me by exposing them!
    23. From all agents of discouragement, I turn!
    24. Wherever “another encourager” is – find me this month!

1Ki 19:4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, TAKE AWAY MY LIFE; FOR I AM NOT BETTER THAN MY FATHERS.

  1. Father, encourage me so I can see your power at work in my life!
    26. Every frustration that makes a man utter “, TAKE AWAY MY LIFE” – I TERMINATE YOU!
    27. Every frustration that makes a man utter “, FOR I AM NOT BETTER ” – I TERMINATE YOU!

1Ki 19:5 And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him,

29.Every stranger around me that is increasing my loneliness, deliver me!
30. Father, I am grateful for people around me that has stayed with me. Please encourage and reward them.
31. Deliver me permanently from the bondage of loneliness.
32. As the Lord lives, from today, I will never walk alone!

What Do You See?

What Do You See?

Recently I had a dream that people were receiving parcels and packages and envelopes that carried discouraging news and reports. I could feel the failure, shame and deep disappointment grip their hearts as they read them. I could sense that these reports carried an assignment of the enemy to delay, stunt, and disable growth in God’s people as well as cause deep heart wounding. As I woke up I felt such a strong impression from the Lord: “Don’t accept the delivery!” Much of what I saw in this dream God was revealing was not the truth at all, so I asked Him, “Then what are You saying, Lord?” He answered me with a Scripture:

“The word of the Lord came to me: ‘What do you see, Jeremiah?’ ‘I see the branch of an almond tree,’ I replied. The Lord said to me, ‘You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that My Word is fulfilled.'” (Jeremiah 1:11-12)

You see, while the enemy wants you to believe that the outcome is set and final in the many areas of your life that have been under fire, God is calling you to see differently and come into agreement with the report of Heaven. Many of us in this season have simply been focusing on the wrong report and been rehearsing the wrong version of our futures.

When Elijah told his servant to go “look toward the sea” in 1 Kings 18, he was giving the same command and teaching him to see differently. After 7 times of looking, he saw a cloud the size of a man’s hand and the long drought ended.

When God called Ezekiel to the valley of dry bones he was teaching him to see differently, to look beyond the bones in the natural to what Heaven’s view and the prognosis was. This season God is stirring us to not just accept what we see but to come into agreement with Heaven so that God’s promises for us are fulfilled.

I want to prophesy over those whose circumstances have been dire and by all outward appearances seem hopeless. I prophesy this week THE REPORT IS CHANGING in Jesus’ name! Whatever you have stacked against you, rise higher and get the download of Heaven for your situation so that you not only overcome it, but you MOVE FORWARD.

It was a normal day for Saul but it was an arranged day from God! From now your days will be arranged. The dad sent him on an errand like any other kid could have been sent but by the end of the day – He had become a king! He did not lobby for it. He did not bed for it – purely by divine arrangement! We will take the scriptures line upon line to use to pray!

1Sa 9:1  There was a man of Benjamin whose name was Kish, the son of Abiel, son of Zeror, son of Becorath, son of Aphiah, a Benjaminite, a man of wealth.

1Sa 9:2  And he had a son whose name was Saul, a handsome young man. There was not a man among the people of Israel more handsome than he. From his shoulders upward he was taller than any of the people.

“a man of wealth.”

That which is bigger than what money and my family can buy – Arrange it for me oh Lord!

“a handsome young man”

God – all that I have – my beauty, my brain ETC – ARRANGE IT FOR YOU, GLORY LORD!

Where no one has ever been to, What no one has ever touched in my lineage – let divine arrangement take me there.

Father, In every area of my life – make me exceptional!

“ From his shoulders upward he was taller than any of the people.”

  1. Lord, I do not want to be physically taller – arrange an uncommon height for me!

1Sa 9:3  Now the donkeys of Kish, Saul’s father, were lost. So Kish said to Saul his son, “Take one of the young men with you, and arise, go and look for the donkeys.”

1Sa 9:4  And he passed through the hill country of Ephraim and passed through the land of Shalishah, but they did not find them. And they passed through the land of Shaalim, but they were not there. Then they passed through the land of Benjamin but did not find them.

On the day that promotion is arranged, let me be selected for an errand.

Lord – let today be my day of visitation.

As I step out of this prayer session, I receive a divinely arranged call to greatness!

In the name of Jesus, let my legs walk me into a divine program

“passed through the land of Shalishah but did not find them.” and ” passed through the land of Benjamin but did not find them.”

  1. I decree concerning you (insert your name) all your setbacks will be arranged to favor you!

  1. Let every setback in my life become an arranged platform for my coronation.

1Sa 9:5  When they came to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant who was with him, “Come, let us go back, lest my father cease to care about the donkeys and become anxious about us.”

1Sa 9:6  But he said to him, “Behold, there is a man of God in this city, and he is a man who is held in honor; all that he says comes true. So now let us go there. Perhaps he can tell us the way we should go.”

Lord, while the power of divine arrangement is working behind the scene, let me not be breakdown!

Arrange a helper into my life who will initial my walk into a divine arrangement!

Let my pains push me to you! Let my cries be heard in heaven!

Make me a source of help to people who need a divine arrangement

Every demonic and evil arrangement intended to derail me, STOP

I decree that I will not take that step that will make me miss or walk away from divine arrangement,

1Sa 9:14  So they went up to the city. As they were entering the city, they saw Samuel coming out toward them on his way up to the high place.

1Sa 9:15  Now the day before Saul came, the LORD had revealed to Samuel:

Every arrangement that you have been working for me, FAST TRACK it – let it manifest today!

The one that you have arranged to help me – talk to him.

No matter how far away they are – the one you have ordained to pull me up – speak to him loud and clear!

Every helper that is the divinely arranged plan for my future – manifest!

Every power blocking the arrangement Heaven has made for me – be destroyed permanently!

1Sa 9:16  “Tomorrow about this time I will send to you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him to be prince over my people Israel. He shall save my people from the hand of the Philistines. For I have seen my people, because their cry has come to me.”

” Tomorrow about this time”

Lord! Speak now that my tomorrow will be alright!

” I will send to you a man from the land of Benjamin”

Send me Lord to where the arrangement that will give me rest has been made in the name of Jesus!

” and you shall anoint him to be prince over my people Israel”

By reason of the anointing of Divine Arrangement on my destiny today – coronate me as King!

By reason of the anointing of Divine Arrangement on my destiny today – I will not struggle again!

1Sa 9:17  When Samuel saw Saul, the LORD told him, “Here is the man of whom I spoke to you! He it is who shall restrain my people.”

1Sa 9:18  Then Saul approached Samuel in the gate and said, “Tell me where is the house of the seer?”

LORD, before I arrive at the place of greatness, arrange a “space” for me.

Lord! By the anointing of divine arrangement – Identify me and promote me!

1Sa 9:20  As for your donkeys that were lost three days ago, do not set your mind on them, for they have been found. And for whom is all that is desirable in Israel? Is it not for you and for all your father’s house?”

Lord! arrange ease into my life!

Lord! arrange ease into my family!

Lord! arrange ease into this ministry!

Lord! arrange ease into Our nations!

Lord I submit – let divine arrangement sort me out in the name of Jesus!

Righteous People in Wrong Places

Righteous People in Wrong Places

(1Co 10:5) But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
(1Co 10:6) Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
(1Co 10:7) Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.
(1Co 10:8) Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
(1Co 10:9) Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
(1Co 10:10) Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
(1Co 10:11) Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
(1Co 10:12) Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

Better Men Have Fallen

Sometimes we get the impression that the children of Israel were just a bunch of losers that were too ungrateful and selfish to deserve to be God’s chosen people. I believe that if we could know some of these individuals as real people and not just as the children of Israel, we would find that they were probably no different than you and I. Only they did not live in the dispensation of grace as you and I do today.  Many times, their sins were dealt with quickly and severely.

I believe we might see a different picture. A picture of good people faced with troubles, and temptations, the fault as many of us, to choose complaint, murmuring, manipulation, deceitfulness to solve their problems rather than trusting God to solve their dilemma.

You see that’s our example. That God’s chosen people on the way to prosperity and the promise land got lost in their hearts and minds for forty years running from what we all run from many times. They yielded to the master’s direction, and provision. Good people, promised people, chosen people, but on the wrong place.

The pull of two paths

Proverbs 9:1-6 / 9:13-18

  • Describes two voices from two houses Wisdom and The Foolish Woman, and they cry out to the SIMPLE. Who is the SIMPLE? You and Me. God’s creation that are ignorant of the spiritual things, the eternal rewards (Wisdom) or the eternal consequences (Foolish Woman’s House).

  • You can read for yourself and see the difference between the two.

  • You will find Wisdom or the Kingdom of God, offers information, knowledge, direction, rest, understanding, and purpose. So complicated and much too inconvenient to consider quickly.

  • Then the Foolish Woman, who offers every kind of pleasure rather than understanding.

  • Her knowledge comes easy and from the surface. She seduces her victims and draws them in at their weakest moments only to find themselves deceived and trapped in the belly of hell.

Describes her ways. Look at how she traps and seduces the simple.

It is our fall time after time, not so much that we have deliberately ran to sin, but that behind the curtain of what is seen, and felt and touched there is the supernatural, the truth of our everyday decisions. Our destination is heaven but roads of dishonesty, lust, and greed many times sidetrack us.

Abraham walked down the path of Dishonesty -(see Gen_12:10-20)

(Pro 26:27) Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.

Many times in war, soldiers would dip pits to trap their enemy, only sometimes in the confusion of battle they,, at times, would fall into their own pit. Thus, if you are deceitful eventually, you might find yourself trapped in your deceit. The same for the rock returning upon you. Soldiers would push a rock up to the top of a hill or cliff to push off on passing opponents, only sometimes in the attempt to defend themselves with their device, they were flattened themselves. Deceit sometimes catches up with us. This is often the problem with lying; eventually, you have to lie to cover up your lies.

Pro 20:17 Bread of deceit is sweet to a man, but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.

  • David was a Righteous Man in the Wrong place:

  • The Road of Impurity – 2 Sam 11:2

(Psa 42:4) When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
(Psa 42:5) Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for* the help of his countenance.

Jonah found himself continually going down from the presences of the Lord until down brought him to the belly of the fish at the bottom of the sea.

“Sin will take farther than you want to go and keep you longer than you want to stay.”

Righteous People sometimes in Wrong Places!

There is nothing as sad and frustrating in life than been harassed and forced to leave a position that is rightly yours and that you have worked for – for years! A lot of things can cause this and as you know I prefer a preventive approach to spiritual things!

The king Xerxes called a party/banquet for six months with unlimited alcohol and in the state of drunkenness asked Vashti the Queen to come and do a fashion parade and she refused. He was advised to depose and remove her!

Est 1:3 In the third year of his reign he gave a banquet for all his officials and administrators. The armies of Persia and Media were present, as well as the governors and noblemen of the provinces.
Est 1:4 For six whole months he made a show of the riches of the imperial court with all its splendor and majesty.
  2. Lord – this year I will not start a project that will destroy me!
    2. Any project/decision that anyone who has a say on my life wants to take and will hurt me – TERMINATE IT.
    3. The spirit of error that causes a man to make the wrong decision, I bind and cast out of my life in Jesus name!
    4. I, (insert your name) will not take a wrong turn again for the rest of my life!

” For six whole months”
5. The next six months of my life will not be spent in foolishness and vanity.
6. That year of failure will not come in my life
7. Every decision by someone close to me that will destroy be – I abort them in Jesus name
8. I, (insert your name) will not suffer for another person’s stupidity.

Est 1:5 After that, the king gave a banquet for all the people in the capital city of Susa, rich and poor alike. It lasted a whole week and was held in the gardens of the royal palace.

  1. In whatever way I am derailing and rotting away secretly now, stop in Jesus name!
    10. The road that leads to destruction – I exit you NOW in Jesus name.
Est 1:8 There were no limits on the drinks; the king had given orders to the palace servants that everyone could have as much as they wanted.
Est 1:9 Meanwhile, inside the royal palace Queen Vashti was giving a banquet for the women.
  3. Every addiction and habit that is programmed to destroy me and give away my place in the future – uproot in the name of Jesus
    12. In the name of Jesus, I will not use my hand to destroy my destiny!
    13. I break the influence of negative habits in my life and family!
    14. Any poisonous behavior in my life that I am celebrating – open my eyes!
Est 1:10 By the seventh day, KING XERXES WAS FEELING HAPPY BECAUSE OF SO MUCH WINE. And he asked his seven personal servants, Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar, and Carkas,
Est 1:11 to bring Queen Vashti to him. The king wanted her to wear her crown and let his people and his officials see how beautiful she was.
  5. Lord, every evil power that will influence anyone who has authority over me to abuse me – I dethrone them
    16. Everything that you have given me that makes me beautiful will not be compromised!
    17. Everything that you have given me that makes me beautiful will not be abused and taken for granted!

Est 1:12 The king’s servants told Queen Vashti what he had said, but she refused to go to him, and this made him terribly angry.
Est 1:15 The king said to them, “Queen Vashti refused to come to me when I sent my servants for her. What does the law say I should do about that?”

  1. Lord give me the wisdom to manage tough situations I am going through now.
    19. I am at my wit end Lord – intervene and help me!
    20. Even when I missed it – have mercy on my
    21. Every event that has or wants to diminish my quality or worth – I cancel them.
See how these advisers added fuel to the fire!

Est 1:16 Then Memucan told the king and the officials: Your Majesty, Queen Vashti has not only embarrassed you, but she has insulted your officials and everyone else in all the provinces.
Est 1:17 The women in the kingdom will hear about this, and they will refuse to respect their husbands. They will say, “If Queen Vashti doesn’t obey her husband, why should we?”
Est 1:18 Before this day is over, the wives of the officials of Persia and Media will find out what Queen Vashti has done, and they will refuse to obey their husbands. They won’t respect their husbands, and their husbands will be angry with them.

  1. Every adviser agitating for my removal from my place! Silence them!
    23. Any mouth that is recommending pain for me – shut it oh lord!

Gen 37:20 Let’s kill him and throw him into a pit and say that some wild animal ate him. Then we’ll see what happens to those dreams.”
Gen 37:21 Reuben heard this and tried to protect Joseph from them. “Let’s not kill him,” he said.

  1. Even when it’s hopeless – raise a voice for me
One single stroke of a pen from a government office can kill people!
Est 1:19 If it pleases Your Majesty, issue a royal proclamation that Vashti may never again appear before the king. Have it written into the laws of Persia and Media, so that it can never be changed. Then give her place as queen to some better woman.
Est 1:20 When your proclamation is made known all over this huge empire, every woman will treat her husband with proper respect, whether he’s rich or poor.”
Est 1:21 The king and his officials liked this idea, and the king did what Memucan suggested.
  3. Every proposal targeted towards me to cause me pain – STOP!
    27. Every agreement targeted towards me to cause me to lose my place – STOP!
    28. Every mind and life planning as we speak to depose me – distract them! Keep them busy!

Psa 92:8 But you will rule over all of us forever,
Psa 92:9 and your hateful enemies will be scattered and then destroyed.

  1. Every conspiracy against my destiny – Cancel it.
    30. Every form of irresponsibility and negligence in our governance – Lord purge it!
    31. Every kingmaker in Nigeria that wants to install pain – depose them!
